Tropes appearing in this episode:
- Arc Villain: The Liberation Army lead by the black knight, Alonso Quixano. Alonso himself follows orders from the mysterious Benengeli (who is actually Baron in disguise).
- Bastard Bastard: Sir Modred not only is the illegitimate son of King Arthur, but he also resents him and is in cahoots with the Liberation Army, planning to betray him.
- Just in Time: In 13-3-4, Sir Lancelot appears just in time to save King Arthur from a fatal blow from Alonso.
- Killed Off for Real: This is the episode where Baron finally bites it.
- Killed Offscreen: According to his daughter, Sancho Panza was murdered by the Liberation Army in the first battle with the Camelot army, so she's taking his place as Alonso's servant.
- Older Than They Look: King Arthur has become old and easily tired, and is not as strong as he used to be. But he still looks young as always.
- Quirky Mini Boss Squad: Samson (the Knight of the Silver Moon), Perez (the Infernal Priest), Robin Hood, and King Lackland. They all serve Alonso to the very end.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Mother Goose's impression of the Baron is that of a man who has never lived his own life, always imitating other people and lying to himself over and over until the very end.
- Running Gag: Alicia asking for autographs to a lot of characters from this Zone. King Arthur himself offers one to Alicia, as one of his ways to convince the party to join the Camelot army.
- Sealed Evil in a Can: Mother Goose seals Morrigan's soul in a little bottle by reciting the nursery rhyme "Who Killed Cock Robin".
- Sealed Good in a Can: When Elena ask King Arthur about Merlin's whereabouts, he tells her that Merlin was tricked by a fairy and imprisoned within a seal that can never be broken by anybody, which kind of means he's already dead. This leaves Elena distraught.
