H.E.A.T tries to figure out who sic the military onto Godzilla while the other members, Chapman and Craven head to Jamaica to investigate disappearances.
- Always a Bigger Fish: While the Giant Squids are deadly, they are easily outmatched by the far larger and more powerful Mutations including Godzilla and C-Rex.
- Big Damn Heroes: Godzilla takes out the squids before they can harm Nick and the rest of H.E.A.T.
- Cat Fight: Audrey and Elsie point fingers at one another on who might have called Hicks on Godzilla.
- A Father to His Men: Nick establishes this when he gets angry at Monique's apathy towards Elsie and Mendell's disappearance.
- Food Chain of Evil: This is the dynamic between the Giant Squids and C-Rex. The squids scurry for food and C-Rex then preys on them to feed on ink.
