Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: For the majority of the episode Masahiko acts meek and friendly. However, he reveals his true selfish nature after Kitaro figures out he killed his own father.
Dragged Off to Hell: Not exactly, but this is basically what happens to Masahiko.
Dwindling Party: The group of six eventually dwindles down until it's just Kitaro, Medama-Oyaji and Masahiko.
Evil Gloating: Masahiko does this as Kitaro correctly deduces that he killed his father.
Exact Eavesdropping: Kitarō stops Masahiko just before the end of the bamboo forest, allowing Mannen-Dake to hear their conversation.
Fate Worse than Death: Mannen-Dake drags Masahiko into the bamboo forest slowly turning him into a bamboo person.
Patricide: Masahiko kills his own father for a very selfish reason.
Transflormation: What happens to Nezumi-Otoko, Kiyomi and Kubota during the initial confrontation with the bamboo people, who were also humans before entering the bamboo thicket. Presumably what happens to Masahiko at the end of the episode.
