Tropes:

  • A Fool and His New Money Are Soon Parted: While Conrado briefly becomes extremely rich, even stating he's the richest in the world, he loses everything after a wrong investment.
  • Chekhov's Gun: Conrado decides to borrow his grandfather's money, thinking he's too oblivious to realize it. In the end, it's revealed his grandpa is the leader of a cartel and sends his men to attack Conrado as revenge for stealing his money.
  • Dude Looks Like a Lady: The guy who buys food for Zé Maria, while Conrado couldn't, has his character model reutilized from a female filler kid.
  • Greed: Conrado, after becoming a shareholder.
  • Mondegreen Gag: Conrado overhears a Chinese man talk about buying stocks for a company called "Kepas Tel", which he assumes is a telephone company, and decides to buy them before him. However, he loses all of his money because the company's name is actually Ke Pastel, and is just Fudêncio and Funérea's small shack where they sell the Brazilian snack pastel. The Chinese guys were also hired by Fudêncio to say that next to Conrado and fool him.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: The reason Conrado wanted to be a shareholder in the first place was so he could have enough money to buy food for his crush, Zé Maria. Later, they go on a date and Zé Maria gets bothered by Conrado bringing his laptop to the restaurant to work. Conrado simply dumps her and says he can get better people than her now.
