Did You Actually Believe...?: Invoked by Dust in how the resistance could be foolish enough to think he had no idea what they were up to.

Enemy Mine: Salvor proposes this as a solution to the conflict between the Foundation, Anacreon, and Thespis. Namely, that they band together and form an alliance to jointly use the Invictus as leverage against the Empire.
Five-Second Foreshadowing: If one pays attention to the mural before Brother Dawn views it, the red ghillie raptors can be seen.
Heroic Sacrifice: A mortally wounded Lewis Pirenne ties himself into the navigation system of the Invictus, a process that finishes the job of killing him, in order to get the ship back to Terminus.
Kill and Replace: The plan by the rebellion to eliminate Cleon XIV and replace him with a clone they spent years growing, to destroy the royal family from the inside. Too bad Dusk has been onto them the whole time.
King Incognito: Cleon XIV leaves the palace in disguise.
