Recap / Fates Collide Ch 59 Pride

Go To

Vlad warns Pyrrha not to let her anger for Gilgamesh cloud her judgement, but she assures him her mind is focused. Gil launches golden weapons at her, but she is able to deflect them with Polarity. Gil is happy she improved her abilities and summons an ax to swing at her, but she stops it with Polarity and tries to stab him with Gae Akuno. He lets go of the ax and leaps away, but she seizes his armor with Polarity and tries to pull him into her spear. At the last second, he makes his armor disappear to break free, leaving him shirtless.

Pyrrha gawks because his torso is covered with red line tattoos, so he asks not to stare at him because it might make Yang jealous. He tries summoning more weapons, but she redirects and destroys them. She says now that she has learned to affect non magnetic metals, his Gate of Babylon is useless and he cannot win. He laughs and says she may be stronger, but she is still a mongrel if she thinks that would be enough to beat him. He summons a strange, cone-shaped sword and says it is his ultimate weapon, Ea, which he only pulls out for special occasions. She tries to seize Ea with Polarity, but Gil growls and flares his Aura, stopping the effect. Vlad warns her to retreat, but she refuses and asks him to increase her power with a Command Spell. Vlad complies and hopes she knows what she is doing.

Pyrrha uses "Gae Akuno: Barrier" to create a force field. As Ea gathers a powerful red energy, Gil declares it is the Sword of Rupture and shouts "Enuma Elish!" Ea fires a huge blast and Pyrrha strains to hold it back, but her barrier is cracking. She uses "Gae Akuno: Blast" to fire a beam from her spear, but it quickly loses to Ea's beam. She is exhausted and sees that Gil is not even winded. She admits he is stronger than her and she will lose, so she'll just have to be stronger next time. The beam engulfs her, making a huge hole that goes down several floors. He descends and finds her unconscious and dangling from the edge of a hole that leads to outside, her spear lodged in the floor. He commends her for surviving, but now it is over. Her spear comes loose and she falls out of the Hanging Gardens, eliminated.

Gil attempts to leave, but the floor starts to collapse and he realizes she used Polarity to weaken it. He tries to jump clear, but finds that she had used the last of her strength to magnetize his boots to the floor. He curses her as the floor gives way and he falls out, eliminated. He is teleported to a room where Enkidu and Yang are watching the match, and grumbles about losing. They tell him he did great and now they should cheer for Weiss, which he agrees to do. Enkidu asks him to put on a shirt, but Yang lustily says he's perfect as he is.

Semiramis tells Weiss that Avenger, Lancer, and Archer have been eliminated, then complains about the damage to her Hanging Gardens of Babylon. She tells Weiss that after she beats Caster, she should have no trouble.

Illya ambushes Weiss and blasts her with a red laser, but she dodges it and the laser cuts right through the floor. She looks up to see Illya wielding a red wand with a star emblem with wings on the end. Illya explains the wand is her Noble Phantasm, then makes her outfit transform into a pink and white frilly dress with white gloves and pink boots, then she rises into the air, now able to fly. Weiss says she looks ridiculous, offending her who says she worked hard on her magical girl transformation. Weiss admits she could see Ruby wearing that outfit. Illya thanks her because she never gave her wand a name, and decides to name it Ruby. She fires blasts that easily punch through the ice, then gets in close to use Ruby in close combat. Weiss parries her with her sword and tries to stab her, but she flies out of the way and taunts her for being unable to fly.

Weiss creates Glyphs to stand in midair and attacks, but Illya dodges each one. Eventually, Illya charges up a huge blast and shouts, "Quintet Fire!" before launching it. It engulfs Weiss and makes a huge explosion. Illya assumes she won, but Weiss emerges from the smoke, bleeding and with her hair messed up. Illya asks how she withstood that, and she says she trained to increase her stamina and durability, admitting if that attack had hit her before she went to Chaldea, it would have taken her out.

Illya runs out of energy, causing her to revert to her regular outfit. Weiss lectures her on not conserving her energy. Illya asks her sponsor to use a Command Spell to revitalize her, but Weiss quickly slashes her, knocking her out and eliminating her. Weiss staggers, exhausted, and Semiramis offers to replenish her strength with a Command Spell, but Weiss tells her to save it. Semiramis asks her if she doesn't want to use it because it would make her feel weak. She remains silent, and Semiramis then asks if she thinks her family is watching. Weiss knows her father isn't watching, which is why she can fight. She promises to accept a Command Spell in her next fight and walks down a hall, then is confused when she hears a guitar playing.
