While Tony works with Layla and Shashi to steal codes from a Russian businessman, Ms. Nowhere sends the others to snoop around Shashi's mansion.
- Conveniently Unverifiable Cover Story: Frostee is still a minor who lives with his parents, so Ms. Nowhere and her men create a cover story for him (going to science camp) so that he can work on the missions without his family wondering what he's up to.
- Government Conspiracy: Ms. Nowhere and Gary will set off a fake earthquake so that the kids can break into Shashi's mansion.
- I Work Alone: Layla labels herself as a lone wolf.
- Makes Just as Much Sense in Context: Shashi's entrance guard talks about how the house is on the San Andreas fault and it somehow segues into a tangent about the works of Louis-Jacques-Mandé Daguerre.
- Mysterious Past: Layla seems adverse to the idea of family and mentions that she used to have a dog.
- Nobody Poops: Averted. Sova, the owl, tries to expose Tony by pooping on him, which causes him to fall in panic.
- Oh, Crap!: When Sudarikov and Shashi when Sudarikov accidentally harpoons and drags along a police car with them, attracting the attention of the cops.
- Skewed Priorities: The kids get offtask while infiltrating Shashi's house, getting distracted by the portable froyo, holo-fish, and an Ang Chen painting.
- Spotting the Thread:
- Echo notices a button on the Ang Chen painting, which reveals a hidden door to Shashi's vault of cars.
- At the end, Shashi realizes something happened in his house when he notices minor things out of place like a spot on the ceiling.
