Heel Realization: Naomi has one when Abuela has a speech about how a girl's quinceanera should be about having fun with her friends, but she can’t, because they're not at the ball.
Impossibly Tacky Clothes: Esteban and Naomi go head-over-heels for a purplish-pink and turqouise dress with a lot of ruffles and a puffy vest. Elena feels iffy about it, but of course, she's ignored. It must be seen to be believed.
Ironic Echo: When Naomi has her Heel Realization about her quinceanera and rushes out to get her friends, Doña Paloma sneers to Esteban that "they'll [the other nobles will] be talking about this night for years". At the end, when Naomi wants everyone to just enjoy themselves, Abuela assures Esteban and Naomi that "they'll be talking about this night for years" in a positive way.
Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Though Esteban is mainly motivated to show up Doña Paloma and her friends and he's still a jerk throughout the episode, he's clearly proud of Naomi learning how to be a proper lady and seems to enjoy having a buddy to hang around with that agrees with everything he does.
You Don't Look Like You: Naomi's character model is changed, her face noticeably being fuller now.
