It's All Fool's Day on Kongo Bongo, and Cranky has been pranking everybody across the island. DK, Diddy and Candy team up to get back at him by dressing DK up as King K. Rool and giving him the Crystal Coconut. But things go horribly awry when the real K. Rool, who wants in on the pranking action, gets confused for the disguised DK and makes off with the coconut.

- April Fools' Plot: Although the holiday is referred to as "All Fool's Day", the idea is still the same, with Cranky pranking everyone on Kongo Bongo and DK, Diddy, and Candy finding a way to prank him back.
- Chekhov's Gag: Near the start of the episode, DK sits on a whoopee cushion in Candy's proximity. Later on, he uses that same whoopee cushion to convince K. Rool that the Crystal Coconut has a curse on it, making him give it back.
- Gasshole: K. Rool's henchmen mistake him for one when he accidentally sits on a whoopee cushion.K. Rool: IT WASN'T ME!!!!!
- Mistaken for an Imposter: The prank on Cranky is for DK to wear a K. Rool costume and receive the Crystal Coconut from Diddy and Candy. The problem starts when the real K. Rool inadvertently swaps places with DK, but he's happy to play along to get the Coconut.
- The Prankster: Cranky loves All Fool's Day and doesn't waste an opportunity to prank anyone in his vicinity during that day.
- Running Gag: "Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle.", said by everyone who's been pranked. The plot focuses on DK, Diddy and Candy's plans to make Cranky say it after he pranks them.
