A tourist Sian Evans is found dead inside a locked bathroom, having apparently shot herself but Goodman does not believe she committed suicide. Meanwhile Goodman is also trying to reconnect with an old girlfriend and JP is preparing for his wedding.
Tropes:
- Hidden in Plain Sight: The original bullet to kill Sian was muffled by a pillow. It was returned to the hostel and placed back under a new pillowcase. The police never looked for it because they did not know the shot was muffled.
- Never Suicide: Goodman does not think her death was a suicide. Of course he is right.
- Rambling Old Man Monologue: The Chief Commissioner is asked by JP to hold the floor of the wedding guests while he is running with Goodman to unmask the killer. In a full trifecta of this trope he starts to speak about his time as a young policeman, thereby also invoking When I Was Your Age... and Glory Days.
