The demonic royal family isn't a real royal family according to Az. It was made up as an act of rebellion against the angels.
Courtney and Blue are fallen angels, and their "horns" are actually broken halos.
The Watcher is a future Pugsley who was made into a powerful sorcerer in service to the angels.

Wham Shot: Two immediately appearing one after the other. Fingers proceeds to reveal a helmet for Pugsley that is the exact same as the one worn by The Watcher. As Fingers declares that Pugsley is to become The Watcher, Barney, after tussling with The Watcher, manages to remove his helmet, and The Watcher turns to face Barney, revealing a livid future Pugsley with a swollen head.
Your Magic's No Good Here: Courtney cannot use her teleportation ability within Naraka, forcing her and her friends to deliberately get captured to infiltrate it. Later, she becomes exhausted from having to walk throughout Naraka, having normally used her teleportation to get around.
