Craig's quest to map the entire Creek takes him and his friends into the treacherous Poison Ivy Grove.
Tropes:
- Confusing Multiple Negatives:Craig: Becoming legends isn't gonna be easy, but nobody never got nothing from not risking... nothing!
- Enemy-Detecting Radar: Parodied; J.P. tells Craig to "check the radar" for what's following them, but it's clearly just Craig's phone. When it seems to be beeping anyway, that turns out to just be J.P., who claims to beep when he's nervous.
- Early-Installment Weirdness: Some Creek landmarks such as the Mystery Cart and David's Folly were never seen again in the rest of the series.
- Expospeak Gag:Craig: Curse you Toxicodendron radicans, the Latin name for poison ivy!
- Hiroshima as a Unit of Measure: Distance through the grove is cited in "back yards", which J.P. insists makes way more sense than measuring in feet.
- The Immune: The one following the group turns out to be a kid who's immune to poison ivy, who put a trampoline in the center of the grove so no one else could reach it.
- Improvised Armor: Kelsey, J.P., and Craig make Hazmat Suits primarily from garbage bags stitched together with duct tape. They work, but are easily torn apart by branches when they rush.
- Shown Their Work: During the Expospeak Gag mentioned above, Craig identifies poison ivy by its real scientific name.
