Air Date: 3/4/2022

With some help from a member of their rival team, The Renegade Rangers, Passione finally embarks on their journey to the Forrnest swamps, where the creature that slain Qwill's old party presumably resides.

Tropes Found in This Episode:

  • Excessive Mourning: Qwill's years-long mourning finally comes to a close when Passione retrieves Qwill's team's weaponry from Barry and the harpies and returns them to him. Cradling the crossbow of not just his former hunting partner, but his blood relative, Qwill screams to the heavens and allows himself to get all of the grief out of his system before he's finally come to terms with his old team's deaths. He's incredibly thankful for Passione's help, being greatly humbled by their efforts; now that he's finally made peace with his old team's deaths, he decides to retire from being a Ranger. Qwill first reveals his decision to Ash, and as further thanks for her help, he gifts her his signature bow to assist her and her team on their journey.
  • Fluffy the Terrible: The dragon that slaughtered Qwill's team and left him with severe mental trauma for years was given a name by the time Passione encounters it. A trio of harpies took the beast in as a pet and named it... Barry. Shockingly mundane name aside, Barry puts up as much of a fight for Passione as he did for Qwill. Nevertheless, the party manages to successfully slay the dragon thanks to a finishing blow from Ash, and they safely retrieve the hoard of weapons, with those belonging to Qwill's fallen comrades being among them.
  • Oh, Crap!: Passione's members are still uncertain as to whether the creature that they're about to hunt is a dragon. However, when they drop by the Forrnest Hunting Guild to let Dundee know about their next hunt, all doubts of what their quarry is vanish when a horrified Dundee futilely urges them to turn back. It turns out that he knows exactly what Qwill dealt with, and he doesn't want history to repeat. Despite Dundee ultimately relenting and covering for Passione when they head out, the beast is technically off-limits even to the few who know of it.
Dundee: [happily] Oh, 'ey! Nice ta see ya again! What're y'all doin' back 'ere?
    [...]
Callum: We have been contracted to find a Green Dragon.
[A Record Scratch plays as ominous music overtakes the Ty the Tazmanian Tiger music that was playing beforehand. Dundee's smile vanishes.]
Dundee: [dead seriously] ... You're lookin' for what now?
    Callum: A green dragon.
Dundee: Nah, nahnahnah, mate. I can't let you go out there lookin' for that!
Osra: We've got it; it'll be fine.
    Callum: Yeah.
Dundee: Nah, nah! You don't understand! I can't let you lot go in there and try and hunt that down, arite? That's not even on our list!
Jet: So... you know about it!
Dundee: [flustered] Of course we know about it! Everyone knows, uh, er... We know about it. We just can't do anything about it.
  • Wham Shot: The episode ends with a recap segment to make up for some lost gameplay footage. At the end of the fight with the dragon, Cera is illustrated stashing away all the weapons that she can carry in her backpack. One in particular catches her attention: a crossbow labeled "Toby Hox," the name of one of Qwill's fallen comrades from the past. Because they share a surname with Qwill, Cera immediately concludes that Qwill's hunting partners were also his blood family, which Crafty confirms through his narration. When Passione returns the weapons to Qwill, his grief is understandably intense.
