The KND take it to the skies to stop the DCFDTL's birthday cake.

Date of Mission: December 12, 2003

Now loading tropes:

  • Big Damn Heroes: When the kids are attacked by the Delightful Childrens' pound cake at the stadium and it looks like all hope is lost, Lizzie comes out of the sky piloting half of the Delightful Childrens' ship and dives into the cake, blowing it up, and also saving the KND.
  • Irony: The whole point of the Delightful Children's plot is to eat their birthday cake for themselves whilst forcing other children to watch. As it turns out, every child gets a taste of their cake at the end except for the Delightful Children.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Lizzie has such a moment after she realizes that she's damaged Nigel's trust and their relationship by going along with the DCFDTL's plans.
  • Near-Villain Victory: The KND are almost defeated by Delightful Childrens' pound cake when the monster leaves them without their weapons, had it not been for Lizzie arriving in the nick of time at the stadium and the Delightful Childrens' ship in the cake.
  • Plot-Mandated Friendship Failure: Or close to it. After learning that Lizzie (even unwittingly) was in on the DCFDTL's plan to be a decoy for Sector V, Nigel does the closest thing to breaking up with her.
  • Scary Scorpions: The Delightful Children’s “pound cake” resembles one.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Numbuh 1 gives such a speech to Lizzie when he learns that she's one of 5 kids who were 'hired' by the DCFDTL to act as decoys in order to throw Sector V off their scent.
  • Who Is Driving?: As Lizzie says that Numbuh 1 is probably wondering what she's doing on the Delightful Children's ship, he does agree, but also wonders why no-one is steering the ship. Cue crashing.
