Aelita is forced to go shopping with Sissi, and XANA attempts to impersonate the Lyoko Warriors.
This episode contains examples of:
- Continuity Nod: XANA!Ulrich mentions Ulrichs' vertigo to pass off as the real Ulrich.
- Imposter Forgot One Detail: XANA!Ulrich says to Yumi who her first crush was, and both Yumi and Aelita start backing away, as they realise Ulrich would never say such a thing.
- Ironic Echo: Jérémie says "I knew it was too good to last" in the lab, and a few seconds later, Odd, Ulrich and William also say the same thing on the football field.
- Spot the Imposter: The episodes' premise is based on XANA attempting to fool the others by impersonating each one, and devirtualising the crew long enough to get their codes and so cannot activate the tower to stop him.
- Sarcastic Confession: Yumi's Trust Password with Jérémie is to sarcastically confess to stealing all off Ulrich's codes.
- Impostor-Exposing Test: The gang all have imposters, so they attempt to ask questions to one another about themselves to prove they're not the specter. XANA is initially wise to this, and gets away with impersonating Ulrich by referencing his name, he does a specific type of martial arts, and how he has vertigo, and succeeds in devirtualising Yumi. This prompts everyone to ask more personal questions. Aelita calls Jérémie "Proxy Puppy" as a term of endearment, Yumi has had a Wardrobe Malfunction with her swimsuit that involved Hiroki, while Ulrich asks who Yumi's first crush was, something Ulrich would never say. On Lyoko, it causes issues as the duplicates of Odd and William are so genuine that nobody can tell each other apart, not until Jérémie and Luara create a program to highlight the imposters.
- We Need a Distraction: Aelita dresses Sissi up in her clothes and sprays a wig pink to fool a specter into think it was Aelita.
