Go To

Set in the timeline of "Together Or Not At All"/"A Study in Family"...

There's romance in the air, and it isn't just the Insatiable Newlyweds! The Doctor whisks Mrs. Hudson out of her kitchen for a visit to Madame Tussauds for an evening out, and the two spend some time getting to know each other (while having broken into the closed attraction, no less). Mrs. Hudson learns more about the Time Lord, and the Doctor learns a little more about Holmes and Watson's landlady, including her first name. Then, they share a First Kiss.

In the second chapter, it's the night before the Doctor leaves, and he seeks out Mrs. Hudson's company again. The two spend the night together before a very tender farewell.

This Minisode Provide Examples of:

  • Bridal Carry: The Doctor does this for Mrs. Hudson when she's beginning to fall asleep in her kitchen.
  • Chastity Couple: Nothing but kissing ever happens between these two. It doesn't need to; they're content with what they have.
  • December–December Romance: Part of what attracts the Doctor to Mrs. Hudson is that she is older and more mature, normal and extraordinary at the same time.
  • Mayfly–December Romance: Mrs. Hudson may be old enough to have a married daughter, but when all is said and done, there's about the same age gap between her and the Doctor as there is between the Doctor and Rose. He's still many centuries older!
