When parents of a missing college student find a badly decomposed body in an antique car on the roof of an abandoned high-rise, they believe it to be that of their son, but it turns out to be a classmate of his. So where is their son and who is responsible?

- Baby's First Words: Discussed. The mother of the rooftop victim (a basketball fan) tells Flack that one of the young man's first words was "Bird," as in Larry. He replies that his own first words were "cookie and cake."
- Body in a Breadbox: The first victim is found seated behind the wheel of a car on a rooftop.
- Fiery Cover Up: The perp tricks the mother of one of the students into setting a fire to destroy evidence on the promise of information about her son.
- Smells of Death: Sid and Sheldon have the unenviable task of extracting a horribly decomposed body from a car parked on top of an abandoned high-rise in the summer heat. The combination of the stench and the condition of the body prompt usually calm Sid to exclaim, "Oh my God!!"
