Having agreed to work with Strickler, Michael begins the first of a series of mysterious jobs. Back at the ranch, Barry's ledger was stolen by someone and he desperately needs it back or he loses everything.
- Designated Girl Fight: Fi and Michael investigate Barry's "special lady". Said lady takes a swing at Fi with a golf club and the latter responds with a right cross that takes her out.
- Faking the Dead: Once Michael and Sam realize Natalie's duplicity, they do this with Milovan in another room out of sight to sell they're going to kill her and convince her that Fi is going to help her escape death.Sam: (to Milovan) We're gonna take the tape off, and you're going to scream. You're gonna keep screaming until we start shooting. If you make so much as a peep after that, we're gonna have to shoot you for real.
- I Have Your Wife: Natalie has Milovan's cooperation by threatening his kids.
- Karma Houdini: Natalie doesn't get paid, but she also doesn't get caught. And she'll be back.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Michael is reluctant to take Barry's job until Barry asks him to bring Fiona along. Barry and Fiona do not get along, so that request means he must be serious.
- Product Placement: Hellooooooo close up of a bottle of MGD-64.
- Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil: Natalie invokes this in order to win Fi's sympathy, claiming Milovan "used" her "for other things".
- Soft Glass: Michael throws Milovan through a glass coffee table.
- Standard Female Grab Area: When Fi goes to prove that Amy's car is rigged to blow with a trembler shot (by throwing a rock through the window), Amy tries to stop her and Michael grabs Amy's arm.
- Wounded Gazelle Gambit: The real villain pretends to be the victim of her employee, including having him smack her when she goes into her act.
