Scott and Meredith begin dating. Harvey's continued insults of a student prompt a unique class assignment spearheaded by Danny who enlists Ronnie's legal expertise. Harry learns that Jamal plagiarized his college application essay. Steven struggles to come to terms with his recent actions.
Tropes present in the episode:
- The Chains of Commanding: Steven's in a major funk over what happened with Denise in the previous episode. He snaps out of it somewhat by the end, though he breaks down.
- Manly Tears: Steven breaks down and cries in his office in the final scene.
- Teacher/Parent Romance: Scott, the vice principal, begins dating Meredith, a teaching assistant and Jeremy's mother. Also counts as a Workplace Romance.
- This Is Unforgivable!: Harry all but cuts ties with Jamal after it's discovered he plagiarized his essay. While Harry does convince Williams College to give Jamal another chance, he makes it clear to Jamal that this is the last time he's sticking his neck out for him.
