Tyronn and Marilyn are shot at by gang members. Scott demands Harvey get a physical check-up. A student accuses Coach Tina of molesting her.
Tropes present in the episode:
- Adults Are Useless: Refreshingly averted with Annie's parents. They calmly explain their daughter's condition to Steven and apologize for her behavior, even asking Steven to extend their apologies to Tina.
- Break the Haughty: Harvey clearly detests Scott's overbearing attitude towards him. In retaliation, he tricks Scott into going on a two-hour drive to interview for a nonexistent orchestra.
- Corner of Woe: The episode closes with Harry sitting alone in a stairwell weeping over Tyronn.
- Death Glare: Harvey levels one upon Scott after the vice principal makes a snide remark to him.
- Sudden Downer Ending: Fresh off Scott's Break the Haughty moment, Steven amusedly offers to buy him dinner. Then the police arrive to inform Steven of Tyronn's death.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Steven briefly calls out Scott for his rudeness towards Harvey.
