A murder occurs on the same plane Booth and Brennan are taking to China, requiring the duo to connect back to the Jeffersonian via internet hookup and solve the murder before the plane touches down in Shanghai. Meanwhile, back in the states, Angela and Roxie's relationship progresses as Hodgins tries to move on.

- Comically Missing the Point: Bones thinks the passenger clap for the arrest. Booth informs her they're applauding the landing. She comments that she always wondered why plane passengers applauded on touch-down.
- Cooked to Death: The victim is baked alive in the oven of the airplane.
