- Call-Back: Doctor Champ explains that BoJack already told him what happened with Gina, Sarah-Lynn and for some reason, the time he sneezed on Marisa Tomei and that three nipple woman from that nudie mag BoJack's uncle gave him.
- Distinction Without a Difference:Princess Carolyn: Am I crazy, or has the crew turned on you?
Mr. Peanutbutter: No, what they're turned onto is hating me... on account of I cheated on Pickles. - Hero with Bad Publicity: A karmic example. Mr. Peanutbutter's reputation takes a serious hit because the live stream of him confessing his infidelity to Pickles went viral. It takes Princess Carolyn making him look like he's experiencing depression and make him the face of a depression awareness campaign to get his popularity back.
- Red Herring Twist: The bottle of vodka that BoJack took from Jameson makes its return here, and in an act of temptation, BoJack takes a sip from it. One would assume that this would be the catalyst of BoJack relapsing back into alcoholism, but he ends up spitting it out and disposing of the bottle....only for Dr. Champ to end up drinking the bottle instead.
- Remember the New Guy?: This is the first mention of Danny Bananas, the guy who took over as showrunner after Herb got fired.
- Title Drop: Spoken by Danny Bananas in the end to BoJack referring to his hair.
- Unsuspectingly Soused: Dr. Champ accidentally drinks the plastic bottle of vodka BoJack threw away while thinking it's water, and he ends up completely drunk as a result.
