Bob tries helping Teddy get in shape, while Linda and the kids have some icey fun in the basement.
- Berate and Switch: Linda sounds like she's mad at the kids for freezing the floor of the walk-in freezer and using it to horse around... but she remarks that it actually looks like fun.
- Best Friend: It takes a long time for Bob to admit it, but he finally accepts that Teddy is his best friend.
- Celebrity Resemblance: The manager at Dusty's Feedbag repeatedly refers to Bob as "fat Burt Reynolds."
- Chekhov's Gun: Gene's jarred fart ends up being used to distract Zeke in the Freezerdome finals.
- Cutaway Gag: Bob and Linda remark that they've only seen Teddy with a briefcase in "that one play". Cut to Teddy and his union buddies doing a production of Glengarry Glen Ross ("Coffee is for closers!").
- Destination Defenestration: A single weekend at "Stuntman Boot Camp" turns out to be of little help when Bob is tossed through a real window by the manager of Dusty's Feedbag.
- Disproportionate Retribution: For arguing with him in his restaurant, Kevin the manager of Dusty's Feedbag throws Bob through a window.
- Freeze-Frame Bonus: The Burger of the Day during Bob's dream sequence is the Sub-conscious Burger (comes on a sub roll).
- Mega Meal Challenge: Bob tries to stop Teddy from consuming a massive, five-pound, "eat it in half an hour and it's free" hamburger at Dusty's Feedbag.
- Nightmare Sequence: Bob has a crazy dream caused by him feeling guilty about his burgers contributing to Teddy's declining health.
- Papa Wolf: Teddy gets a little too in-character when he's told to pretend Bob is the man who kidnapped his daughter.
- Shout-Out: The "Freezerdome" sub-plot is based on Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome.
