Recap / Bluey Cafe

Go To

In the park, Bluey meets a new playmate named Winnie, but when Bluey wants to invite her and her dad home for breakfast, she learns that adults take a little bit longer to make friends.

Tropes:

  • Book Ends: Bluey and Winnie's first and last meeting both have one party wishing to invite the other party to join them for breakfast. The only difference is, as opposed to the children initiating the invitation, it's the grownups that initiate it instead.
  • Borrowed Catchphrase: "For real life?" This coming from Bluey's new friend Winnie.
  • Like Father, Like Son: Downplayed. Bluey and Winnie become fast friends at the playground in just one morning. Bandit and Fido are much slower to warm up to each other. Nonetheless, throughout the story, Bandit and Fido come to find common ground with each other. By the end, they have indeed become friends with each other just as their daughters have, albeit it took them days to form this friendship rather than an instant.
