Honey Lemon tries to cure Globby, while Liv Amara seeks to exploit his biology for her own purposes.
Tropes:
- Air Vent Escape: Chris uses the air vents to break into Honey's lab, steals a sample of Globby, and the leaves in the same manner.
- Antagonist Title: The titular Nega-Globby is Globby's Evil Counterpart.
- The Assimilator: Nega-Globby can break down matter to increase its mass. It also absorbs an eye from the tentacle-eye creature in Liv's lab so it can see. Even having that fate inflicted upon it by Globby doesn't stop it, as it continues to exist within Globby.
- Behemoth Battle: At one point during the fight between Globby and Nega-Globby, both of them turn into dinosaurs and duke it out.
- Boredom Montage: Honey Lemon watching closely as her solution pours into the beaker very slowly, until she falls asleep.
- Can't Stay Normal: When Nega-Globby has Big Hero 6 at bay, Dibs steals Honey Lemon's purse and tries to turn back into Globby to give them a fighting chance. He is successful, defeats Nega-Globby and is hailed as a hero.
- Eating the Enemy: Once Honey Lemon has managed to weaken Nega-Globby, Globby swallows it whole, absorbing it into himself. Unfortunately, Nega-Globby is still alive in there.
- Evil Knockoff: Liv uses a sample of Globby to create her own version with improved regeneration abilities.
- I Just Want to Be Special: When Globby is cured, he finds himself bereft of purpose. He decides to change himself back so he can fight Nega-Globby and be a hero.
- Not Quite Dead: Globby eats Nega-Globby, but the ending shows that Nega-Globby still exists inside of him.
- Painful Transformation: Lampshaded by Globby when he regains his powers, as he had forgotten how much it hurt the first time.
- Shapeshifter Showdown: Globby vs. Nega-Globby. Even though Nega-Globby had a slight upper hand due to having more aggression and mass, Globby was still able to keep a stalemate long enough for Honey Lemon to weaken it.
- Shapeshifting Excludes Clothing: When Globby gets turned back into Dibs, he finds himself naked and asks for a pair of pants.
- Shipper on Deck: A mild version; Honey Lemon's conversation with Karmi about Hiro makes it clear that she's all for them being friends. Karmi, having just ended an argument with him, isn't having any of it.
- Somebody Else's Problem: When Nega-Globby escapes containment, Liv cancels the alert and writes it off as a failed experiment, leaving the city to deal with the mess.
- Talking the Monster to Death: Believing that Nega-Globby was Dibs, Honey Lemon attempts to get it to stop its rampage. Nega-Globby actually seemed to start calming down, before Dibs showed up and provoked it.
- They Call Me MISTER Tibbs!: Globby uses the "Mr. Globby is my father" variant - then adds "or he would be, if he also went through a freaky mutation".
