Absent Friends was an audio planned as an anniversary event for the Torchwood Monthly Series' 60th episode starring Jack Harkness, Ianto Jones, and the 10th Doctor.
However, shortly before the release date, historic complaints made against John Barrowman's behavior on the set of Arrow and Doctor Who resurfaced which then led to Big Finish pulling the release from publication and replacing it with The Black Knight.
