Jim gets offered another promotion; this one would move the Walshes back to Minneapolis again. Brenda and Brandon want to stay and are loathe to leave their friends and life in California. Surprisingly Cindy wants to stay as well, but Jim decides that the opportunity is too good. Steve gets mad at Brandon for leaving him, while a devastated Brenda breaks up with an equally devastated Dylan. Andrea tells Brandon she thinks they should have sex to have a memory for life, and Brandon happily accepts. They decide to meet at the Peach Pit when it's closed. Andrea gets advice from Kelly, who decides to throw a surprise goodbye party at the Peach Pit at the exact time Andrea and Brandon meet up, which quashes the moment. Seeing the outpouring of love, Jim is moved and changes his mind. Everyone is ecstatic, but Brenda reveals to Dylan that her period is late.
