Go To

Summer has reached its end, meaning it's time for Ben to go back to Bellwood and return to his normal life. While Ben is less than happy to return to normalcy after a summer of heroism, he may get one last chance when Vilgax makes another play for the Omnitrix.

Tropes

  • And the Adventure Continues: The episode ends with Dr. Animo about to attack the school with Ben and Gwen preparing to fight him.
  • The Call Knows Where You Live: Just as things are going back to normal for Ben, Vilgax attacks.
  • Canon Discontinuity: The events of this episode aren't referenced and even somewhat contradicted in the sequel series. The framing narration suggests it takes place in one of the many alternate timelines of the series.
  • Continuity Nod: Ben's classmates reference a number of events from previous seasons
    • Heatblast saving people from a burning building in Washington B.C
    • Four Arms fighting Kevin on the Golden Gate Bridge from Framed
    • Wildmutt at the Las Vegas magician conference from Tough Luck
    • Wildvine saving a mall in Minnesota from Midnight Madness
    • TJ recognizes Diamond Head from their encounter in The Unnaturals
    • Ben's souvenirs included a Santa hat from Merry Christmas, the wrestling ad from Ready to Rumble, and the Birthday Cake cube from Ben 10,000.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Whether this episode is canon or not, Max mentions he kept his Plumber life a secret from his wife and sons, even though in Alien Force, we learn she was aware the whole time. Also, Ben's parents are voiced by Dee Bradley Baker and Tara Strong who would only do the roles again in Ben 10: Destroy All Aliens whereas most future appearances would have the duo be voiced by their Race Against Time actors, Doc McManus and Beth Littleford with Vyvan Pham doing Sandra in Ben 10 Returns, Part 1.
  • I Surrender, Suckers: Ben seemingly tells Vilgax that he won so he'd spare Ben's dad, before turning into Cannonbolt.
