- Sole Survivor: It's heavily implied Tom Anderson is the only survivor of this particular battle. The Korean civilian is killed while Anderson is trying to replace a kitchen pipe and when the communist tank rolls in, it's implied everyone else in Anderson's platoon died as well, with the battle being lost. It goes a long way in possibly explaining why Anderson never got in trouble for his incompetency... because there was no one left to report on him.
