Tropes:

• Does Not Like Spam: According to the Mountain Dew video, Butt-Head tells Beavis he hates real cherries because they taste nothing like the cherry flavor, and worse yet they're fruit.
• Dying Dream: Beavis has one where he's swimming in the ocean, until he's dragged back down by an octopus. Who then fondles him under his clothes. It turns out that it's the doctor and his medical students palpating Beavis's testicles.
• Everybody Has Standards:
  • As bad as Butt-Head is, even he wouldn't murder his best friend, and he feels bad that he thinks he killed him.
    Butt-Head: Feeling bad sucks.
  • Crosses over with Pet the Dog, but earlier in the episode when Beavis wakes up, he tells him he won't continue the game until he feels better.
• Friendship Moment: The episode ends with one as Butt-Head pushed Beavis home in a wheelchair.
  Butt-Head: Uhh... Beavis, I'll probably laugh about it eventually, but it would've sucked if I'd killed you by hitting your nuts.
  Beavis: Oh, really? Eh-heh-heh. Thanks, Butt-Head.
• Go into the Light: Beavis nearly does this during his Dying Dream, until he's pulled down by an octopus, which is really the doctor treating him.
• Groin Attack:
  • The titular game involves Butt-Head punching Beavis in the crotch, causing him to "take a bow." And he does it for ten days straight.
  • At the end, God does this to the Archangel Michael, telling him to "take a bow" for saving Beavis and getting Butt-Head to be more caring. He then smacks Michael in the nuts.
• My God, What Have I Done?: It's portrayed more stoically than most examples, but Butt-Head isn't happy when he believes he may have been responsible for killing Beavis.
• Near-Death Experience: Parodied. Beavis ends up in the hospital because of the game, even being put on an IV, and it's treated by Butt-Head like he's on death's door.
• Oh, Crap!: Butt-Head when he thinks he killed Beavis.
• Pet the Dog: Butt-Head actually feels bad about sending Beavis the the hospital and nearly killing him, to the point of praying for his recovery. Before that, he even decides to forego smacking Beavis in the crotch until he's absolutely sure he's gotten better.
• Prayer Is a Last Resort: Butt-Head goes to the hospital chapel to pray for Beavis's recovery.
• Sincerity Mode: Considering that it isn't followed up with any kind of abuse or insult, Butt-Head's apology to Beavis about almost killing him comes off as remarkably genuine.
