Known by the fans as one of the most iconic episodes in Bar Rescue, Jon goes to Silver Spring, Maryland to rescue the pirate-themed Piratz Tavern. However, he might have his work cut out when the owner will not budge on changing the concept.

- Bland-Name Product: The new name for the bar on relaunch is: The Corporate Bar & Grill. Admittedly, not one of Jon's most creative names.
- Blazing Inferno Hellfire Sauce: Juiciano presents Josh Capon his signature dish The Buring Bits: chicken nuggets doused in habañero sauce. Neither one could get through one bite.
- Both Sides Have a Point: There's no denying Jon is right about how a pirate-themed bar can't work in a corporate area. That being said, the staff isn't wrong that if they don't like the theme, it won't be somewhere they are happy to work.
- The Cameo: Bill Rodenhiser from the Chicken Bone episode in Season 1 returns for recon with his wife.
- Dressed to Plunder: The owners and staff dress like this.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here:
- Archer, the server/busboy, got fed up with Taffer's yelling and quit his job after Taffer came in with the harsh reality that the pirate theme was not working.
- Subverted with Juicanno, the head chef. Despite walking out during the stress test, he came back after the bar closed for the night.
- Under Strange Management: Piratz Tavern is a pirate-themed bar that initially attracted customers who liked to pretend to be pirates. The owner eventually decided to hire her frequent customers as staff, and, essentially, the animals ended up running the zoo. Everyone is too focused on playing pretend pirates and helping themselves to free drinks to notice that the business is failing to attract any new or normal customers and losing money when Jon Taffer and his team arrive to try and bail them out. Jon's presence only leads to conflict when the pirates refuse to make any changes to the bar or their behavior.
- Ungrateful Bastard: While some bars later on would be a little resistant to the renovations Jon gives them, the staff is completely against the changes to the bar. Case in point, they threw away all his redecorations, burned down the new sign, and turned the bar back into a pirate-themed tavern. Three days after the rescue ended!
