The Armenian's film production attempts to salvage itself by casting a body double of Betty Winter for filming the final scenes. Under pressure from Weintraub, Bellman quickly recasts Tilly Brooks in Betty's role.

Gereon and Charlotte discover that the Phantom's outfit is a custom-fitted costume for Tristan Rot, Betty's husband and the film's lead actor, and his body double. One of the only two costumes is missing.

When Tilly gets sick from anxiety at the last minute, Vera - another potential Betty double who is an old acquaintance of Charlotte's - locks her in the dressing room and steals her place in the scene. The Phantom murders Tilly while the scene is being filmed, and she is discovered by Charlotte.

  • Fake Shemp: In-universe regarding the stand-in for Betty Winter to complete the film.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: Blink and you'll miss that the file Ullrich pulls from the gun registry bears the name Gosztony.
  • New Media Are Evil: Katelbach despairs at the degradation of journalism and fickleness of the masses, throwing a cheap shot out at cinema.
  • Satchel Switcheroo: A variant. One of Katelbach's contacts smuggles him technical plans by exchanging a newspaper at a cafe.
