Recap / Avengers Assemble S 4 E 19 The Immortal Weapon

Go To

Thanks to the Beyonder, the Bifrost needed to fix Earth, Asgard, and other worlds, has been destroyed.

While Loki and Tony attempt to build a new Bifrost, they send Black Panther and Falcon to seek Heimdall's sword, the only means to use the device. But why is Iron Fist determined to keep it hidden from them?

Tropes:

  • Evil Sounds Deep: Dracula already has Corey Burton's best sinister overlord voice, but when he goes full Venom it gets even deeper, with an added dash of growling.
  • Just a Kid: Falcon believes T'Challa has this attitude toward him, and it fuels part of their bickering.
  • Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: Venom Dracula.
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: Iron Fist fought and defeated Dracula and sealed him away using Heimdall's sword before the Avengers got there. How exactly he figured out how to do this is largely skipped over.
  • Poor Communication Kills:
    • At episode's beginning, Falcon accuses T'Challa of not communicating clearly that there was an incoming dragon, expecting him to duck.
    • Subverted. Iron Fist refuses to tell Black Panther and Falcon why they can't take the Sword of Heimdall, but once Dracula gets out it turns out he couldn't, as Dracula cursed him to be unable to tell them. Doesn't stop T'Challa accusing him of this though.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: Dracula and his vampires were being kept beneath K'un-L'un by the Sword of Heimdall.
  • Weakened by the Light: Vampires, as per usual. Even the light of Danny's fist glowing brightly is enough to drive them back.
  • We ARE Struggling Together: Even when faced with an unstoppable horde of vampires, Black Panther and Falcon continue bickering, which Iron Fist even calls them on.
