The Avengers find themselves in a life-changing experience when they are exposed to a gamma-radiated weapon, turning them into raging Hulks.
The only way to get a handle of their new situation until they find a cure is with the help of Black Widow and the Hulk.
Tropes:
- A Day in the Limelight: This episode shows that despite what many people think, Hulk's still the scientist Dr. Banner. The Avengers gain a new appreciation for just how much self-control he has.
- Cold Open: The episode starts with Widow and Fury breaking into an AIM lab.
- Sick Episode: The Avengers are infected with a type of Gamma virus that turns them all into Hulks. The only exceptions are Widow (who wasn't there) and the original Hulk (who, naturally, is immune).
- The Virus: A.I.M. creates a "gamma virus" that infects all of the Avengers except Black Widow and Hulk himself (who is obviously immune). The virus transforms the heroes into Hulking versions of themselves, and gradually makes them bigger, stronger, and more mentally unstable as time passes, with the eventual goal being total disintegration.
