Meatwad is given electric powers after being ranked by Shake left in the dryer for nearly a week. But these newfound powers come with certain consequences.
"Balloonenstein" contain examples of:
- The Dog Bites Back: In the first of many times in the series, Meatwad strikes against Shake throughout the episode.
- Drunk with Power: Meatwad takes advantage his newfound powers by bossing around anyone he chooses. Thankfully this is selective to Shake.
- Energy Absorption: After Meatwad's attempt to remove the electricity inside him by storing it in a balloon ends up supersizing it, Frylock attempts to destroy with his powers but only makes it bigger due to the rubber.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Shake cruelly leading Meatwad into the dryer and leaving him there gives Meatwad electricity, which he then uses to torment Shake back.
- They Killed Kenny Again:
- Meatwad unintentionally kills Carl by electrocuting him.
- Meatwad intentionally kills Shake by jumping on him while he's in Carl's pool after growing in size thanks to a black hole. This is Shake's first death in the series.
