Ono pushes Eiji to take French lessons so that he can attend culinary school in France.

- Call-Back: Remember the fig pound cakes from the previous episode? All ten loaves are sold within the first two minutes and Eiji helps make more.
- The retired police officer from a few episodes ago receives some cakes from his wife. He's also still holding himself accountable for not arresting Keiichiro's kidnapper.
- Didn't Think This Through: Apparently, Keiichiro had looked up the time period in which a kidnapping case is. Because he was taken over twenty years ago and the time for prosecution is five, his kidnapper could never be punished.
