Go To

Airdate: October 12th, 1993

Opening Line: "Eisenhower Mamie"- Yakko

An episode where each segment has to do with American history.

The Flame: An anthropomorphic flame watches Thomas Jefferson write the Declaration of Independence.

Wakko's America: Wakko sings a song about the fifty states and their capitals.

Davy Omelette: Chicken Boo stars in a parody of Davy Crockett.

Four Score and Seven Migraines Ago: The Warners help Abraham Lincoln write the Gettysburg Address.

The Flame contains examples of:

  • Artistic License – History: July 4, 1776, was not, obviously, the first time fireworks were launched for Independence Day.
  • Art Shift: The animation of the humans here is done more realistically to make it as close to historically accurate as possible.

Wakko's America contains examples of:

  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: Wakko technically gives the entire correct response, but he gets no credit for it because he forgot to phrase it in the form of a question.

Davy Omelette contains examples of:

  • The Cameo: Yakko, Wakko and Dot drive out of a covered wagon in a small car.
  • Chased Off into the Sunset: This segment ends with a bear doing this to Chicken Boo after his ruse is exposed.
  • Exit, Pursued by a Bear: A literal example; after Davy Omelette is revealed to be Chicken Boo, one of the villagers calls a bear over, saying they're going to have chicken for dinner. The bear then chases Chicken Boo away.
  • Whole-Plot Reference: To Davy Crockett. A parody of "The Ballad of Davy Crockett" is sung at the beginning.

Four Score and Seven Migraines Ago contains examples of:

Closing Tower Gag: "Ciao, America!"- Yakko, Wakko, and Dot
