It's Oliver's 13th birthday and after all of his friends have lavish parties for their 13th birthdays, he wants the same but, of course, his parents can't afford it. So he doesn't want to have a party because he knows it will embarrass him, but his parents (well, Katie) throw a surprise escape room party for him anyway. Meanwhile, Taylor is doing poorly in school and needs a tutor, and she is assigned Eyo, the son of one of Katie's nemeses, Tara Summers. Both mothers are horrified when their kids start to hit it off, but with Oliver's crush Alice McCarthy attending his party, maybe she won't be the only Otto to get a little romance...
Cooper Bradford, after having been mentioned in several previous episodes, finally appears in the flesh, played by Logan Pepper. Taylor's first boyfriend, Eyo, also makes his debut appearance.
