Hayley begins dating Deputy Director Bullock while Stan is trying to get a promotion.
Tropes:
- Animated Actors: While providing commentary for the fight scene between Stan and Bullock, noting it took three days to choreograph, Klaus says that one of the extras, Jimmy Ng, was killed in a car accident. At the end of the episode, we see Stan hugging Jimmy just before a read-through session for the show.
- Celebrity Paradox: It's obscured by Klaus's voiceover commentary, but the "funniest joke of the episode" has Stan saying to Bullock that "Kirk was better than Picard."
- Dirty Coward: Steve and Roger laugh their asses off as they mess with world leaders but when Argentina traces the call back to them, they're paralyzed with horror as the phone rings.
- The Dog Bites Back: Once Bullock makes it clear that Stan was never actually in consideration for the promotion, Stan absolutely snaps and throws back every comment Bullock said to him as he beats him to a pulp.
- Ephebophile: Bullock is dating Hayley despite there being an age gap of roughly four decades. He even sings about how much he "loves little girls."
- Oh, Crap!: Steve and Roger when they realize that all the world leaders they've been pranking are going to *69 them (find out who had actually called them).
- Papa Wolf: The only reason Stan hadn't beaten Bullock earlier was because he didn't want to risk losing his promotion. The moment Bullock revealed he wasn't considered for it anyway, he puts him in a vice grip.
- Secret Test of Character: Bullock claims that his relationship with Hailey was this for Stan, but it's rather obvious it's a blatant excuse to keep Stan from killing him. He even says that Jeff is just faking having a severe spinal injury.
- Tuckerization: Trahn "Jimmy" Ng was a friend of Seth MacFarlane who died in a car accident. He used his name in this episode as a way to honor him.
- You Look Familiar: In-Universe. According to Klaus, one of the extras during the fight had previously appeared during the carnival, because the original actor was killed in a car crash.
