When Masikura predicts the island will sink into the ocean, the entire kingdom panics and tries to make the most of their last day.

- All-Loving Hero: When Julien sees groups of lemurs trying to steal the raft and save themselves, Julien realizes he never once considered saving himself over trying to save everyone else.
- The Ark: Julien tries to build one to save the entire Kingdom, but with the time and resources available, Timo only manages a small raft that can only save five lemurs.
- Blatant Lies: Julien tries to assure the kingdom that his poorly built ark will fit more than five lemurs, but Ted points out the ark has an extremely prominent "Maximum Capacity: Five Lemurs" sign on it.
- Call-Back: Julien asks Maurice to pack his Captain Booty-Butt Doll, which turns out to have been stolen years ago by Karl who had an evil plan in mind for it, but had to sell it to pay off the damage caused to his parent's coffee plantation.
- Continuity Nod: When Hector offers to sacrifice himself, Mort objects and points out that he's number one of the Sacrifice List as seen in "O Captain, My Captain Part 2".
- Let Them Die Happy: As the last few minutes of the Kingdom approach, Mort grabs Julien's feet. While Julien is annoyed, he decides to let Mort stay there.
- Off Screen Villain Dark Matter: Subverted, Karl had to cancel an evil plan of his because he was short on funds.
- Prophecy Twist: Although even Masikura herself is confident she means Madagascar, she never specifically says in her prophecy that the Island of Madagascar is sinking, just "The Island". As it turns out, a different island sinks instead.Masikura: I don't understand. I may see metaphorical glimpses that can be interpreted in several ways, but usually something bad happens...
