After encountering Haida, Retsuko's mother confronts her and gives her two weeks to bring him for a visit.
However, knowing how strict and overbearing she can be, Retsuko must now help Haida get a new job beforehand.

- Bait-and-Switch: On the day Retsuko and Haida visit her folks, Haida is seen wearing a fancy suit, implying that he finally landed a job. Unfortunately, it turns out he is still looking, and Retsuko was actually trying to help pass him off as a model employee before he decides to fess up.
- Hope Spot:
- It seems like Haida finally has a chance at a new accounting position, even though it may pay less. Unfortunately, he is forced to confess exactly why he left his old job, which causes the employers to reconsider.
- Ton hits an error on his computer and calls Haida to fix it. Unfortunately, all he can do is reset the computer because the file the pig worked on was already lost.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Retsuko has never known her father to lose his cool like her mother, who was always trying to control her life. While he still doesn't, the fact that he kept Haida out of the group photo in the end implies he's not so approving yet since he's still looking for a job.
- Surprisingly, the mom is a lot more understanding when they clarified what has been going on.
- Race Against the Clock: Retsuko has two weeks to help Haida get employed, or else there is a risk her mom may reject him.
- Status Quo Is God: Subverted. Haida chooses not to go back to his old job at the trading company because his attempt at financial fraud almost endangered it and his friends.
