When Simmons enthusiastically tells Skye that she's designed arm casts that will minimise the damage she does to herself when she suppresses her powers - apparently forgetting that this might be distressing news to someone who she's expecting to wear the things indefinitely (potentially for the rest of her life) - May is quite up front about pointing out that of course Skye's still upset, and of course they must continue helping her to control her powers without harming herself if at all possible.
