Madoka Kaname has a conversation with Cosmos about the development of the Magical Girl Division of the GUAG and the Magical Girl System, the latter of which they were suspicious that it may related to Tzeentch's machinations which made Homura angry. The subject changes to Homura, which Cosmos remarks how dedicated she is towards the new Goddess of Magical Girls. Cosmos changes the topic to her predecessors and remarks that she and Usagi keep in contact with each other for some time after the latter stepped down, wondering if Madoka herself could handle the responsibility. Madoka answers that it had more to do with recognition than experience, saying that she, Usagi, and Sakura are what define their experience, a statement points out that she would be admitting her own inexperience. This sparked the definition of a Magical Girl, answered by Madoka, who says it signifies hope & life, which impressed Cosmos, but asks if the same could be said of Sayaka Miki, an example of which Madoka admits she failed and make the fallen magical girl her avatar because she didn't want to be forgotten. Unfortunately, Cosmos had some GUAG work to do, but not before asking Madoka if she's prepared for her duties, which she answers yes.
