A full catalogue of the Everfree's flora has never been completed. Some of the more unusual known plants include spiderbrambles, whose thousands of blossoms are living, fully functioning spiders, capable of spinning webs and capturing insects. They are generally shy and do not bite ponies except in self defense. They are not edible and make poor gifts, according to florists.

"Secondly, the traditional lines between flora and fauna appear to be blurred here. We are witnessing the emergence of a new classification: florafauna.
We have encountered predatory plant-life that exhibits agility, motor function and aggression in its predation patterns. A stick insect the size of a redwood. A species of arachnid with limbs so long they appeared to us to be a bamboo forest. Could it be that this realm's predator/prey relationships are so pronounced in their ferocity, that they have forced the hand of evolution to breed plant-life capable of defending itself? Or are these creatures some kind of monstrous hybrid that combines the most deadly functions of all living organisms, creating new species that go beyond the traditional categories of flora/fauna?
It occurs to me, with a despairing laugh, that we need new phenotypes! Astonishing!"
