I'm not fond of the way romance is done in Anime. I think it's due to cultural differences and any shows (Live action or any of it) tendency to milk a romantic plot for all it's worth. So everyone just gets together at the end of a series instead of actually getting to see the romance develop onscreen and them enter into a committed relationship and all that entails.
