Basic Trope: Objects mimicked by a mime work as if they were real.
- Straight: A mime makes a Finger Gun and actually shoots someone with it.
- Exaggerated:
- The "gun" even makes a loud firing noise.
- The "gun" goes dry, and the mime "reloads" it by reaching into his empty pocket.
- Downplayed': The "gun" only works due to illusion; the mime is so good that the person ''believes'' that they've been shot with a gun, and feel the pain of being shot and can even die from what they believe is a fatal wound.
- Justified: Mimes have magic powers.
- Inverted: It looks like someone is holding a real gun, but it turns out to be fake.
- Subverted: Nothing happens when they "fire" their finger gun.
- The mime was merely carrying a real gun turned invisible via some sort of Applied Phlebotinum.
- The real gunman was standing behind the mime.
- The "victim" was acting along.
- Double Subverted: Nothing happens, then they mime loading it, and then it fires.
- Parodied:
- A humongous battle occurs between multiple mimes with various "weapons" and "casualties".
- A mime literally uses objects mimicked by them for everyday use, like cars, elevators, microwaves...
- Zig-Zagged: ???
- Averted: Mimes are present, but don't attack each other with mimicked objects.
- Enforced: The boss demanded mimes to be shoehorned into the plot doing this because he thought it was hilarious.
- Lampshaded: "Wow, these mimes really know their stuff..."
- Invoked: A wizard contacts a skilled mime to make him his apprentice, knowing he will gain these powers.
- Exploited: Another mime saves the victim by miming stitching the "wound".
- Defied: ???
- Discussed: ???
- Conversed: ???
- Implied: The mime makes a cocking motion, and it makes the appropriate sound.
