- Alice was the Naïve Newcomer while the others became jaded professionals who were past their innocent days.
- Alice is actually one of the original founders of Team Reset, and still holds true to the values that lead to its founding. The other founders are either dead, have replaced their ideals with pragmatism, or even turned their backs on Team Reset for various reasons in the years since.
- There has to be someone who actually believed in the code for the others to pull off their schemes.
- Team Reset have been past their glory days, falling into a slump as of the story's present.
- The others had been infiltrators working for anyone except Team Reset.
- Inverted: Alan's team are shocked to learn that he's Only in It for the Money.

- Alice eventually admits she wasn't that faithful either...
- The news comes from Frank, who Alice knows is a Consummate Liar.
- She comes to realizes the others are under some sort of hypnotism, meaning they aren't acting like themselves.

- ...at first, but after seeing how hardworking the others were she started to believe in the message thinking that was what drove them.

- However, their trance forced them to always tell the truth, meaning they were stating their honest feelings.
- Parioded: The Ditz Alice believes the clouds were white chocolate cotton candy, and is shocked to learn she is the only one of the friend group who does.
- Averted: Only a few people in Team Reset, or even none at all, deviate from the goal of it.
- Enforced: "How could we make Alice experience a Cynicism Catalyst? Oh, we could make her the only one of the team who believe in the message they use!"
- Lampshaded: When the others are around Alice they are constantly cheery and optimistic, but while she's absent they relaxed themselves and talk more realistically.
