Basic Trope: A character, usually a villain, decides to fix the world's problems by dealing with humanity's free will.

- Dracone has seen numerous attempts to justify the necessity of free will, but he outright only sees the negatives and downsides because of how often they occur: People trying to do the right thing, only to put dangerous dictators into power because they didn't pay any attention to the red flags in their indolence, ignorance, and self-righteousness. People trying to avoid doing the right thing because they didn't want to care about other people except for themselves, only for their inaction to allow evil people to do whatever they want until it reaches their metaphorical doorstep. Dracone is just so sick and tired of the constant waves of evil occurring due to the fallibility of free will that he'd rather just force everyone into an absolute totalitarian society where everyone is punished for even the smallest of mistakes, because to him, an eternally just society built on punishment is the only way for true peace to be achieved.

- Dracone is the only being with free will who is not a god. He wants to destroy a world without suffering by giving everyone else free will.
- Subverted: The heroes discover Dracone intends to remove the world's free will and they suspect it's to create a utopia. When Dracone finally gives his villain exposition speech, he reveals his plan is to destroy the world. There's no way he could manage billions of slaves and plans to tell all but a few to starve to death.

- Parodied: Fed up with the poor teeth-brushing habits of people, Dracone takes over the world to tyrannically enforce good oral hygiene.

- Deconstructed: Draconne's elimination of free will wasn't perfect or permanent, and as his slaves's free will slowly regrows, so to does their resentment, which makes his empire a ticking time bomb. Eventually, one slip-up on Draconne's part is all it takes for his "perfect" world to go up in flames.
