- Bob and Alice are attacked by a vampire in a private spot, but they manage to get away.

- Justified: The monster specifically wants to punish kissing couples.
- Inverted: A bunch of humans take a visit to the underworld to attack monster couples kissing at a romantic spot there.
- Subverted: A monster comes upon a kissing couple in the woods...but when it attacks, both of them pull out weapons and it's the monster that ends up dead.
- Double Subverted: The next couple to attract a monster's attention aren't so lucky.
- Zig-Zagged: When Bob and Alice are attacked by a monster, they run away and take safety in their home before it can kill them. Just as they thought they were safe, they find out the monster has followed them all the way back and promptly kills them... but then it is killed by Charlie (whose significant other died because of the monster) to prevent it from attacking anyone else.
- Parodied: Bob and Alice go off for some private romantic time, only for the two of them to end up being harassed by a group of angry butterflies.
- Averted: They aren't attacked at all.
- Lampshaded:Bob: Do monsters have something against couples, or what?
- Enforced: The writers have a strong hatred against getting intimate and making out, for whatever reason.
- Invoked: One of the townsfolk who is collaborating with the monster sends it to the local hangout.

- The local Hunter of Monsters knows the monster tends to strike at places like these and sets up an ambush to kill it once and for all.
- Someone who hates Bob and Alice sets them up on a date to have some alone time at a romantic private place so they can get killed.
- Defied: Bob and Alice think about going off to the local hangout for some private time...but they remember how many people have died there and decide to stay in town.
- Discussed: "Hey, wouldn't it be funny if a monster just appeared out of nowhere while we're kissing and attack us?"
