Basic Trope: A cop who is a murderer.
- Straight: Officer Drake, a respected local police officer, has secretly killed an innocent man in the past without remorse.
- Exaggerated:
- All the cops in the world are murderers.
- Officer Drake is a Serial Killer with a body count in the thousands.
- Officer Drake is an Omnicidal Maniac.
- Downplayed:
- Officer Drake brutally beats a man to the point of putting him in a coma, but he's still technically alive.
- Rabid Cop.
- Justified:
- Officer Drake was forced into killing that man.
- That "innocent" man was attacking him first, Drake killed him in self-defense.
- Inverted: Drake, a respected citizen, has remorselessly killed an officer.
- Subverted: Drake was framed by the crime lord Bob.
- Double Subverted: "Bob" isn't a real person, and was simply made up by Drake.
- Parodied: Drake horrifically kills a man for taking his donuts.
- Zig-Zagged: ???
- Averted: Officer Drake isn't a murderer.
- Enforced: "The butler being the murderer is getting old, we need a different kind of character to be the murderer." "What about a cop?"
- Lampshaded: ???
- Invoked: ???
- Exploited: ???
- Defied: ???
- Discussed: ???
- Conversed: ???
- Implied: We see a skull in Officer Drake's room, but we don't know if it's either a leftover Halloween decoration or a human skull.
- Deconstructed: The police force Officer Drake works for is more concerned with tribalism and "protecting their own" than actually keeping themselves honest. When they find out about Drake's misdeeds, they cover them up, allowing Drake to continue unimpeded and placing his victims in the undesirable position of having to choose to either submit to him or invoke the wrath of the full police department.
